High Budget Marketing Campaigns

  • A high budget film would have a very big budget.80m to 100m
  • A high budget film marketing campaign is a campaign that promotes the film before the film comes out in cinemas
  • Pirates of the carribean had a budget of $300million,
  • Spiderman had a lesser budget of $244m budget,
  • Harry potter as a whole is one of the highest at around half a billion dollars

Viral Marketing

  • Viral marketing, facilitates and encourages people to pass along a marketing message.
  • Viral marketing is like a flu and has the audience spread the word about the film in a form of a video or poster which catches the audiences eye. films that have used viral marketing;

  • Batman
  • paranormal activity 1,2,3
  • insidious
the dark knight used viral marketing as a way to get publicity, they did this by doing a treasure hunt to get information about it.
People use viral marketing because it is cheap way to advertise it and it will get them more publicity.

Low Budget Marketing Campaigns

A Low Budget Film Might Have:

  • low-budget film is a motion picture shot with little or no funding from a major film studio or private investor.
  • Not Much Money
3 Low Budget Films

Paranormal Activity- was a low budget film and here is its film poster

The most profitable movie of all time is a true outlier. With just $15,000, the visionaries behind this project created a movie that took in a worldwide gross of almost $197 million, a staggering percentage return of over 655,000%.

  • Rocky- Was A Low Budget Film Here Is The Film Poster
Why do you wanna fight?” says Adrian. “Cause I can’t sing or dance,” replies Rocky. Perhaps this exchange epitomizes the reason for the classic boxing movie’s success and overwhelming cult status. It provided a cinematic classic for a largely male audience who needed a hero; one that wasn’t heroic because of his moon walk or falsetto, but for his fighting spirit. With a budget of $1 million, Rocky notched up an impressive worldwide gross of $225 million, giving a percentage return of over 11,000%. Knockout.

  • Halloween- Was A Low Budget Film Here Is The Film Poster
It was 1978, the year when one of the legends of the horror genre was released into the world. Michael Myers was arguably the foundational figure in the canon of “slasher” icons of Hollywood, but the movie received mixed reviews when first launched, with some critics arguing that his character was far too one-dimensional. Nevertheless, in proof that character depth is not necessarily the key to success, cinema-goers loved the film. Halloween grossed $70m from a modest budget of $325,000, providing a return of almost 11,000% and leaving in its wake a tradition of over-the-top gore that survives to this day.

My Idea for an Advert

Mac Book Air

The unique selling point will be that the mac book air will be the best netbook you will have, And it will be the thinnest net book you will have, Apple because it is a big company and they produce very good products,I'm going to use silver because silver will show it is the color for the mac book and it is a nice simple color, It can be used for the age of 20-30, and mostly for men, the hobbies could be for gadgets, and wanting to have the latest thing.

Adverts for Mac Book Air

This Advert Is On The Mac Book Air, I Like how thin the laptop is and the text is in a nice thin and sliver font and how the apple logo is shinny. The unique selling point is the apple notebook will be the best they have made and that it is better than any other laptop.

This advert is also on the mac book air and with this advert they have compered there ,ac book air with a paper notepad  and as you can see  there mac book air is thinner that a notepad. The unique selling point is that the mac book is very thin and will be able to fit into your bag like a notepad.

This advert was on a dell netbook it is a very basic advert but I think lots of people would like this because it is mall but still has the features that a normal laptop would have. The unique selling point is that it is very small but will still but will still be able to perform like or better that a laptop.

Conventions of Advert

  1. Slogan
  2. Main Heading
  3. Main Images
  4. Logo
  5. Using A Celebrity
  6. Picture Of The Product

How can you tell who the target audience is? (age, gender, interests etc)
Its for women who want to lose weight (before there wedding in this picture)
The age would be anywhere from 20-40

What is the “unique selling point” of the product making you DESIRE this product (ie why should you buy THIS product)
The quote at the bottom ‘ Need to lose a little weight before your wedding’
Its trying to say your okay at what size you are but if you want to lose some weight use slim fast

Why would an audience like this advert or be "interested" by it?
It could help you lose the weight you want to lose

What do the colours in the advert signify? (about the product, company or audience)
Yellow for fat (butter is yellow and fat) and falling through the wedding cake means she is overweight also she wants to lose weight

Black People In The Media

Introduction:

Black people are getting blamed for most things in the media. They had a lot of stereotype's like:

  • Black people love chicken
  • Never Work
  • Loots Lots of Stuff
  • Drop-Outs
  • Leaving Babys
  • Guns,Knifes,Weed

Television:

In 'Everybody Hates Chris' Chris is bullied for being black. In This TV series Chris is in the time where black people would get blamed for everything that happening's.His mother makes him go to a all white school for a better education, She is stereotyping all white teenagers are smart.

Film

In of Mice And Men Crooks is seen as less of a man to all the others because he is black and has to have his own room just because he is black but he is a very intelligent man he is one of the smartest men on the ranch and just because he is black he is seen as a dumb man, He is only still on the ranch because he got injured by getting kicked in the back by a horse.

KiDULTHOOD is a typical film about gangs and black youths, this film shows the negatives about black teens. This film includes stabbing, gun, knife's, fighting and mugging.
In one part of the film 2 black youths and 1 white youth walk in to a shop and have a look around and as they are leaving they get stop for taking a hat just because he was black and he didn't take anything. He got stereotyped because he was black.

News

Half of young black people unemployed, says report

That head line was from a BBC report and i have found it very unfair because they don't talk about   how white people don't have jobs. It is a very stereotypical.  The left-leaning Institute for Public Policy Research said a survey of 7,200 young people showed a wide variation in unemployment by ethnic group.

Blaming young black men for rising gun crime would be a "mistake'', a Home Office minister said yesterday. This headline stands out because its the only headline not 'Bad Mouthing' Black youths, But some of the shootings over the year have been black people but it doesn't mean you should blamed them for all crimes that have been done.

Conclusion

I think black people are always getting slagged off by everyone, the media, tv, radio and most people who see them. The stereotype
